Resort Travel Tourism Marketing Ontario Canada Marketing Tips for Tourism
Operators Consider the other parts of your marketing plan. (Don't have a marketing plan ? - Time to do one!) see Article: Beyond the Website - Using Electronic Commerce Other ways to Welcome Guests: 1) Your Telephone Number As I was putting this site together, I noticed how so many tourism properties do not have a Toll Free Telephone Number. A Toll Free number provides instant credibility for a business. Potential customers call the Toll Free numbers first. They call the others only if there isn't a vacancy. With Long distance rates much lower than a few years ago, (Our Rates have dropped 60% in the last 3 years) there's no reason why any tourism property should have a Toll free number accessible throughout North America. 2) Signs Can your guests find you? Do you have signs on major roads and highways? If you don't, you start a vacation getaway off on the wrong foot by getting your guest lost. You are also missing out on an excellent opportunity to put your name in front of a captive audience driving by.- 7days a week, 365 days a year If you don't have a road sign, you don't exist! 3) Put Meta Tags on all your webpages. Make sure you ask your webpage programmer about putting Keywords, Description and Title Meta Tags on every page of your website. The search engines will need this information to index your website. 4) Your webpages should load in 10 - 15 seconds at maximum for a 28.8 modem as a rule of thumb Potential customers won't wait any longer! more to come............
